How to Find Apartments for Rent
The ever expanding population of Gurgaon has made the real estate sector a thriving market. If you are new to the city and is in need of a shelter, do not worry, you would have plenty of options. But, whether you want to purchase or simply take on rent, you need to be cautious about certain aspects of property transfer. The following are few tips that would tell you how to find apartments for rent.
Tips on How to Find Apartments for Rent
- Create a renter's resume where you would be jotting down all your details, including your permanent house address, your employer, length of employment, your current salary, personal references and even the contact details of your previous landlords.
- To begin with your search, you may look out for apartments for rent in news paper classifieds, publications that are specifically for the apartment hunters and internet portals.
- Estimate the amount that you would be paying as rent. You are advised to devote not more that 30% of your take away home income per month.
- To make your search more effective, you can always go for the real estate agent. They are well aware of the market trends and as a result of which they would be able to provide you with best possible deal for the apartments for rent.
- Before taking up preferred apartments for rent, make sure to run a check. In case of any damaged property, do not hesitate to inform your land lord to get it mended. It would also be beneficial for you to avoid any blame later while you relocate to some other place.
- While making the best rental dealings find out the facilities offered to you. Amenities like an enclosed garage for parking, pool, tennis court, gym facilities and such.
- Ask your landlord to define the cosmetic charges that your landlord would be bearing like painting walls or structural changes like the adding shelves.
If you are looking out for an economic rental deal, you can go for sharing. But be well aware of the habits and the character of the room mate as you have to live with the person. You might face trouble in case the person turns out to be a smoker or a noise maker.
Get all terms of agreement in writing. Also, fix up a definite time period within which your landlord has to return your security deposit once you move away as many landlords tend to drag their feet to make the payment.

Claim rights on the husband's individually owned property
Hi, My father has given this property to me after 2 yrs of my marriage. I am not happy with my wife & have discussed for divorce but she isnt ready to divorce me & has an eye on my property. Can she claim right even if I am not willing to give it to her.
Your wife in India has NO right over any of your self owned property till you are alive, she has right to monthly maintenance from you if she has no source of income for her maintenance, she has right to residence from you whether while staying with you in same premises or another premises (in such case you have to provide it on rent or otherwise), she has right to live with you & continue conjugal relationship with her, however this you can refuse if you have decree of judicial separation against her, she has right to seek & have physical custody of minor children & she has right to claim all her Stridhan brought by her at the time of marriage along with get her share in the jointly owned property which you both got at the time of marriage. This property in question was given to you by your father & that too after two years of marriage. The title of this property must be in your name or there must be some record showing the property stands in your name only & not in joint name with your wife. Considering all these facts & the legal position ,your wife has no right over this property, however she can always seek relief as far other rights I have mentioned here so be careful about those.

Best bank in India for taking Home Loan?
SBI - no second thought.
For getting home loan India, is it best to get it at 8% from India or Personal Loan at 12% in UK?
I am planning to buy a house in India availing a home loan, which stands at 8.5% at the moment, which will move on to 9.5% for the next year and then floating interest around 10.25% (10 to 15 years). Total loan amount is £30,000 (Rs 22,00,000). As I am based in UK, the other alternative for me is to secure a personal loan of £30,000 from a UK bank, payable at 12% APR in 6 years. The advantage with the UK personal loan is that I don’t have the delay in securing an NRI Home Loan in India as well as the total years payable is 7 years in UK compared to 10 to 15 years in India. Which is the best option and if so, why? Thanks very much for your help. Smitha R

How on earth am i going to pay my home loan?
Do your arithmetic, if you sold, how much of a mortgage would be left to pay off. Go and have a word with the bank/building society. Finally, you can wait. House prices go up and down all the time, it's down now, but it will go up again, then SELL
How about taking loan from REPCO bank? Friend is offering me 25 lakhs loan to make a home?
My friend who is manager in Repco is interested to give me 25 lakhs as home loan. Interest will be more or less like the same as other banks. But my question is, is there any problem if i take loan from this kinda of banks? She is trying to improve the banking operations, thats why they planned to give loans to reliable persons...she says...! what should i do now?
Ensure that your documents are kept in safe custody and the services are not person centric i.e tomorrow somebody comes as manager in place of your friend he should provide the same service. Thats it.
